Berndt Friberg Stoneware Vase for Gustavsberg, Sweden

Beautiful small vase by Swedish master ceramicist Berndt Friberg (1899-1981) for Gustavsberg.
Blend of brown and yellow ochre glazes with an unusual horizontal ribbed pattern to the body.
Friberg trained under art director Wilhelm Kage and began producing his own line of stoneware for Gustavsberg in 1944. All of his studio work was personally thrown and signed by him.
He received numerous gold medals at international exhibitions and competitions and examples of his work can be found in major museums and important private collections throughout the world.
This vase is in very good condition with no damage found.
Measures 7.5 cm high and signed to the base. Currently shipping to UK and USA.
