A black forest finely hand carved limewood study of a puppy dachshund

A very pleasing and beautifully hand carved small black forest limewood study of a puppy dachshund which is a rarely seen subject. The artist carver has captured the very appealing features of this puppy very well showing good scale, proportion and detailing. The carving is very tactile and over the years developed a rich colour and patination.
