French marble top bombe chest of drawers c.1920. Superb original inch-thick marble top with serpentine shaped and thumb moulded edge over two large drawers. Bombe shaped front and sides with symmetrically arranged kingwood veneers and decorative marquetry inlays. Original large gilded ormolu mounts and handles. Shaped apron with a brass trim and further ormolu mounts to the front feet. Solid oak drawer linings, and back panel. Some repairs to the veneers, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
