Fine example of the classic late 19th.c. military officer’s campaign chest c.1880. In solid camphorwood, a fragrant and pest resistant timber which helped protect contents during passage, further strengthened with brass corners and bindings. With a flush fitting handle to the lid and original heavy duty brass carry handles to each side. Excellent colour and condition with original corners and bindings, handles, hinges and lock. Cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
