A great early nineteenth century brass bound campaign box made from a very hefty piece of solid Mahogany. This top-notch example box is beautifully brass bound and has a pair of flush inlaid brass military style handles to the sides.

The box is beautifully bound with straps running from back to front and strappings running right around the sides, a true sign of quality. Even better are the fabulous curved corners. The top is inlaid with a shaped brass cartouche with the original decorative monogram of the original owner, it looks like M G.

Once opened, the box reveals a professionally re-lined box in racing green velvet, clean, fresh and ready for many years of use by either a discerning lady or gentleman. The interior is unusual with a tray within a tray with space around for long chains.

Excellent condition and a grand impressive size, measuring 12 1/2" x 9" x 5 1/4" tall.
