brass face 8 day grandfather antique clock by James Johnston, Portsoy (Aberdeenshire) circa 1840.
the brass face with subsidiary seconds and date dial, beautifully figured mahogany case with moulded columns and rosewood crossbanding, the 8 day movement striking the hour on a bell.
other than some scuffs etc and a few old ( long dead ) worm holes to the case, this very handsome clock is in overall good condition and is in full working order.
