British 1827/46 Naval Officers Sword C/w Scabbard

An 1827 model British naval officers sword: blade is single fullered so is post 1846.
This model of sword has remained virtually unchanged and in use by the navy since 1846 with minor changes only.
The blade has a proof mark and is faintly etched including the name of the cutler/ dealer which looks to me to be ‘Firmin and sons’ of London. The blade has some mottling but is in reasonable condition.
The hilt is standard brass gothic design with folding guard, St Edwards crown cartouche, fouled anchor lions head and fish skin grip all in good condition.
The scabbard is all brass with two suspension rings and a few odd dents but in good condition setting off the hilt nicely but may not be original to the sword itself.
Postage and packing included in price within main landUk unfortunately we do not ship outside main land UK.
Returns accepted if we are notified via e mail or post, within 14 days of purchase. Item must be returned in condition purchased from Mainly Military Antiques at purchasers cost for refund to then be issued.
