Here we have a wonderful George II Walnut bureau c1740. As you can see the bureau has super colour and patina. There is a figured top with lovely grain and colour and quarter matched veneers. There is a thumb moulded edge to the fall front. The fall front also has a feather banded edge which is replicated on the drawer fronts. This lovely original bureau has a well fitted interior with pigeon holes and drawers. The interior also retains the original hinges and sliding top well. The drawers are Oak lined with front and rear hand cut dovetail joints. The main drawers are also Oak lined and have beautiful brass bat wing brasses. There is a beautiful half round moulding to the top of the original bracket feet. A beautiful period bureau just as it should be ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 36 inches wide 39 high and 20 deep.
