This is a rare mid 20th century Burmese teak table with a circular top supported by three figures in traditional dress. The top is attractively carved with bands of geometric and floral inspired decoration, including a wide band of scrolling foliage, surrounding a smooth central panel. The outward facing figures with arms up-stretched supporting the top are also joined at their thighs by a lower tier.

This table would make an unusual occasional table for a lamp or for drinks in a lounge. It seems to be a rare design as, to date, we have not encountered a similarly carved table supported by figures.

Dimensions: Diameter 50.5 cm x Height 63.5 cm (20" x 25")
Weight: 12 kg

Condition: The table is in very good vintage condition, possessing a rich colour and lustrous waxed finish, with all joints solid. The only fault is a missing tip to a corner of a tunic on one of the figures.
