Burr Walnut Chiming Grandmother Clock
A nicely figured and proportioned burr walnut grandmother antique clock with Westminster and Whittington chimes,dating to George V period. The shaped top hood has quartered side columns and fretted side panels. It has a long door with a shaped top and a bookmatched veneered door and a matching base. The engraved silvered dial has a Tempus Fugit disc within the arch and a tune changer lever and chime silent lever. The 8 day movement chimes each 1/4 on 8 chime bars, either Westminster(Big Ben) or Whittington.(England, c. 1920)
Current Condition
