Butchers Advertising Shop Display Model

Holding a plaster tray, the large hand painted butchers model in a light skin colour with muscular highlights, pale blue eyes, pink tongue, curly tail and dark trotters, standing on a circular plinth base with trade paper applied label reading ‘Baxter & Sons’, hailing from the second quarter of the twentieth century.
The model is in good complete order, with no serious cracks or chips, however there is a crack to the tray, but it is more aesthetic than structural and thus remains stable.
Now, much more of a rarity, models like these were more common in the late nineteenth and early to mid twentieth century, standing either in the window or out on the door, used for proffering meats such as sausages, which would have been placed on the models platter.
In short, this happy chappie is a fine and scarce example of shop display and butchers advertising. Pork Cumberlands sir? surely?
