This is a fabulous and rare piece! - In good vintage condition, dating early 1920's Art Deco powder compact. It depicts the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company Cruise Liner ATLANTIS - it is set to a white metal/possibly chrome base - using the natural butterfly wing tehcnique top is in good order with reverse painted clear celluloid cover - the natural morpho blue wing showing some signs commensurate with age, but in my opinion does not detract from this special piece - Measuring c. 1.3/4" inch square all clasps and hinges are perfect, opening to reveal a nice clear interior, with a high polish steel mirror an inner opening lid, and a small puff- very nice, I am hoping this little lovely will find its way to an appreciative buyer.
