Welsh Oak Dresser - Porthmadog / Dolgellau - North West Wales

A Welsh oak dresser with plate rack situated above.
The base consists of two shaped fielded panel cupboard doors with center shaped fielded panel.
three drawers each having two brass drop handles, brass back plate and escutcheons.
Iron 'H' hinges to the doors.
Shaped frieze to rack.

We have two nearly identical welsh dressers very close in age and location in which they have been sourced and history told research has led us to believe they are made by the same craftsman.
The beautiful signature craftmanship that is presented from both these pieces when studied side by side are uncanny.
with only 10 years difference in age they are true traditional piece of well made Welsh vintage furniture
