C.1831 Sampson Mordan Asprey 9ct Gold Golf Tool
We are delighted to offer for sale this very very rare 1831 solid 9-carat gold Sampson Mordan 18 hole golf course tool retailed by Asprey London
For the golfer who has everything! What a truly lovely and rare find, I’ve never seen another and it is as rare and desirable and you could possibly hope for
Fully stamped on the engine turned case S.M&CO for the wonders that is Samspon Morden one of the finest silversmiths our country has ever known, a little further down the second set of hallmarks reads 9 on the side follows by 375 for 9ct gold, date letter q lower case in a circle, the closest match I can find is 1831 then the lions head for London and finally Asprey for the retailer
The removable extending propeller pencil on all three sections is stamped with the sideways 9 and then 375 again for 9-carat gold. If you remove the double sided score card which has holes 1-9 on the first side and 10-18 on the second then you reveal further hallmarks stating Asprey again and then a RD mark of 758547
The condition is good used and with a lovely vintage patina, the pencil is out of lead but you can pick them up and have them fitted at normal pen shops

We prefer collection on all items from Wimbledon SW19-3BE, If you have your own courier or wish to book the collection in yourself we are happy to accommodate you.

Whoever delivers will usually require some help on the larger items to unload, if this is not possible please let us know as it will affect the price to send a two man team.
Delivery is to the ground floor only, again if you need help upstairs or in flats etc that's absolutely not a problem, the couriers charge £10 per flight per man per item, if you have a working elevator then naturally there’s no additional fee.
