C18th French oak painted commode chest
Fabulous c18th French louis xv style painted commode chest of drawers with polished oak top.
This is a very good original period oak commode and the paint finish gives it a very different look to the traditional dark oak, so it will fit a more contemporary home as well as traditional.
Three full width drawers for storage and all running well. The photos show a green striped drawer lining which I have now removed.
Well carved throughout and the sides are also panelled. Shaped oak top and in great condition.
Measuring:
34 1/4” or 87cm high
48 3/4” or 124cm wide
23 3/4” or 60cm deep
