C19th Continental Leather-Topped Wriiting Table

This attractive antique writing table is of continental origins and dates from the mid-nineteenth cenutury. It is constructed from a mixture of soft-woods with a cross-banded top. The writing table has a tan leather writing surface. Beneath the top is a drawer, which retains a working lock and key. The table is supported on turned wooden legs.
Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing, denting and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall faded. The top has some ring marks and scuffing and some areas of minor wood loss. The lock is a replacement. The piece shows some signs of old woodworm - this is not active, but has been retreated as a precaution.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 72.5cm high, 80cm wide, 44cm deep (to maximums) 57cm high to lower rail. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
