Campaign, Military nightstand/sidetable

Rare mid 19th century military officers two tier campaign side table, night stand circa 1840/50
With two oval shelves in what we believe to be a well figured teak wood presenting a lovely deep patina almost to the colour of mahogany.
Brass gallery to the top and all solid brass legs with screw threads for ease of construction/dismantling when required. These antique tables were designed to be practical pieces of antique furniture for officers when serving the Empire.
In good antique condition, evidence of previous use to brass and woodwork. It appears that the bottom shelf has been used for a long time upside down hence the serial numbers on display. Over time this shelf has acquired its own natural colour through use and we feel it only right to continue using it this way round.
