Camphorwood Campaign Trunk
A handsome camphorwood campaign trunk with bold brass carrying handles to each end. Originally used to transport officer’s belongings in the field, these trunks are most often used as coffee antique tables with storage in the modern home. This example is of a particularly good colour and bears the wonderful aroma of camphor when opened.

Condition & Details of Restoration
This item is in original structural condition with no splits. The polish has been refinished, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some minor old marks under the polish, including four old screw holes (now filled) to the centre of the top, most likely where a handle or some such had been added at some point. These are quite small and can be seen it the top detail photograph.
