Circa 1880, carved oak ecclesiastical chair or bishops chair, with a high upright back with 6 fielded panels held in position by pegged dowels and chamfered supports, and 2 carved finials on the top. The chair has 2 squat arms and a solid seat with a needlepoint cushion, and stands on a simple rectangular foot. Excellent condition.
