Carved Oak Upholstered Footstool Jacobean Style
This attractive stool is very much in the Jacobean style but is a more modern reproduction piece dating from around the 1930s. It has a solid oak frame which is heavily carved and scrolled legs with a lower turned H-stretcher. The stool has an upholstered top - the upholstery is more modern than the stool.
Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and the piece is overall a little faded. There is some slight movement in the joints. The upholstery is dated and faded and would benefit from being replaced. The piece is overall grubby and would benefit from being polished.
