An very unusual carved figural paduak tea caddy with boxwood inlay,and silver hinge and lock and key. The shape is a physalis flower fruit.
Carved from a single piece of wood with superb figuring, rather like its rosewood relation. Its lined with lead to keep tea fresh.
Measuring 5" diameter x 5 1/2" high.
