Caughley Fluted Cornflower Teabowl & Saucer c1790


We have for sale a very attractive Caughley tea bowl and saucer.
This Caughley fluted tea bowl and saucer is decorated in a design consisting of a gilt border around three pink and blue cornflower sprigs with gilt leaves around a central gilt border which in turn is positioned around a central cornflower sprig. The tea bowl and saucer are unmarked and date to around 1790.
The saucer is 5.25 inches (13.3cm) in diameter and the tea bowl is 2 inches (5cm) high, both are in a very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, although there is some wear to the gilt borders.
