Here we have a very rare and beautiful Welsh Oak Monks seat c1650. As you can see the seat has super colour and patina. There is a stunning single plank top with burr elements. The top lifts on internal pin hinges to reveal an armchair. The table top supports have left significant dents to the top of the arms where it rests when down which would be expected. The chair is of typical form for the period with pegged mortice and tenon joints and a two plank boarded seat. A stunning period monks seat in great retail condition ready for your home. The demensions are approx 26 inches high (top down) 26.5 deep 21 wide 47 high (top up).
