A lovely looking thing this one, a Charles ii boarded chest
cica 1660 with a gorgeous colour & classical ornamentation
its a good size of 46" inches wide with a thick plank top
superb strong carving as you would expect from this period with a classical guilloche border with punchwork decoration within,the central panels with two carved lozengers and stylised floral rosettes, the chest stands tall & proud with great height on the stiles without any loss, a wonderfull dark conker colour & patination.
