A lovely little pink Antique Georgian Bilston Enamel-On-Copper Patch Box, printed with the motto "A Trifle from CHESTER".

Dating from c.1780, this little enamelled box is in good condition for its 230 years of age.

The enamelled lid has a little age wear and one small area of damage as illustrated. The main body of the box has a hairline to the front and on the base, and a very small area of surface damage on the base.

The fitted interior mirror is present with one small crack. The hinge is perfect, the box closes evenly.
