A lovely Chelsea porcelain twin handled vase with a washed underglaze blue ground and a large reserve on each side very delicately painted with scenes of lovers courting in the countryside. Framed with decorative gilding and all edges gilded also. A pair of ornate shaped and pierced scrolled handles are left white with gilt decoration. Gold anchor mark, c.1765.

Provenance: Christie's Sale 14426 "Five Private Collections" on 07 June 2017, lot 416.

It measures 18.8cm (7 3/8") high, 12.8cm (5") wide across the handles and 7cm (2 3/4") deep.

Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration. A small area of enamel loss to one side but otherwise minimal handling wear. The inside has some crazing and minor discolouration. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
