Here we have a fine Victorian burr walnut chest of drawers c1870. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. There is a straight grain Walnut top with a stepped thumb moulded edge. Round corners always seem to be a feature of very well made chests and this is no exception. The sides are solid Mahogany with straight grain Walnut veneers and the drawers are all solid Mahogany lined with hand cut dove tail joints, original paper linings and internal dust beads. The drawer fronts are delightful half matched veneers of Burr Walnut with super grain and colour and most importantly beautiful original brass handles of Gothic form. The whole sits on original squashed bun feet with the bottom drawer being integral therfore very deep with lots of storage. A super chest of drawers in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 123 cm wide 111 cm high 48 cm deep.
