Chest of drawers stunning George III Oak c1790
Here we have a remarkable George III Oak chest of drawers c1790. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. This wonderful chest has been carefully made and every inch of the Oak has been quarter sawn which maximises the medullary rays within the Oak. This original chest has a desirable configuration of two over four drawers. The drawers have solid Oak linings including bases. There are hand cut dovetails joints and cockbeaded edges. Remarkably the chest has retained the original beautiful brass handles and escutcheons. The whole sits on original bracket feet. This is one of the best country Oak chests we have had through our showroom and is in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 108 cm wide 137 cm high 52 cm deep.
