A small floor standing Chinese Qing Dynasty glazed rosewood cabinet above an arrangement of nine drawers and two door cupboard with an intricately carved frieze and feet. Made of solid rosewood, the top section comprises a glazed cabinet with a flat panelled top, the two doors opening to reveal two shelves. The bottom section consists of one long and two short drawers above a two door cupboard flanked by a further 3 drawers to each side, all of which is supported on 4 legs carved as grotesque foo dog heads. Attractive features include the carved and pierced frieze which on the front depicts two dragons chasing a flaming pearl and the carvings of bats in the internal spandrels of the door frames. All the drawers are fitted with brass ring-pull handles.

The narrow size of this cabinet would make it perfect for filling small spaces in a reception room with the drawers and cupboards providing storage space for smaller items.

Condition: The cabinet has been gently cleaned and wax polished in our workshop. It is in fine antique condition though there is no key.
