Superb Chinese hardwood plant stand with a circular marble top inset in excellent antique condition. The marble shows attractive natural veining in warm pink and brown tones, framed by a beaded wooden border. The apron is richly worked with pierced foliate and floral carving, all executed with crisp detail. The four cabriole legs are similarly carved, sweeping down to shaped feet and united by a cross‑brace stretcher for added stability. The hardwood has a deep, even colour and a pleasing polish, giving the stand a warm, elegant presence. A beautifully made decorative stand, ideal for displaying a favourite vase, sculpture or plant.
