Circa 1700 painted pine merchant seaman's chest with candle box. Has been dry scrapped back to the original paint. Lift the lid to reveal a painting of a clipper with all it's sails open and displaying the English Ensign.Original iron carrying handles and hinges.

Traces of original paint, painting within in good condition. Some old repairs, paint loss etc.Has had a replacement lock but no key.

Approx. 39.75" wide x 15.75" deep x 16.75" high.
