Here we have a stunning original 17th century press cupboard or wardrobe c1680. As you can see this Charles II period Oak cupboard has wonderful colour and patina. There is a strong moulded pediment to the top and paneled sides to the top and bottom section. There are two paneled doors to the top which open to reveal an ample hanging space with original wooden pegs to the rear and a later hanging rail. The cupboard is of pegged mortice and tenon construction throughout and the base has three further fielded panels with chamfered edges to replicate the top. The rear has the original thick Oak plank backboards and a wonderful original ink label of a 17th century naive Lion. A super original press of lovely proportions in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 52 inches wide 20 deep and 69 high.
