UNUSUAL CENTRAL SHRUB-LIKE DESIGN WITH TRIBAL MOTIFS NOT THAT FAR OFF FROM A SIMILAR AFSHAR RUG THAT I HAVE. ALONG WITH LAST IMAGES OF A SIMILAR DESIGN IN A PUBLICATION.
IT IS DATED 1333AH UPPER LEFT SIDE EQUATING TO 1914-15 AND I WOULD SAY FROM THE DYE COLOURS IT DATES TO THE FIRST QUARTER OF THE 20TH CENTURY SO HAVE NO REASON TO DOUBT THE ACCURACY OF THE DATE ON THE RUG.
NICE IVORY GROUND COLOUR. ALL ENDS AND SIDES ARE SECURE WITH HAND WASH AND DE-DUSTING.
THERE IS SOME LIGHT WEAR IN PLACES/ ALL WOOLLEN CONSTRUCTION.
