Decorative Mid Century Spool Trunk
A decorative, industrial, mid century (circa 1940-50) storage / shipping trunk marked Lansil (Lancaster Silk).
The box would have originally been used to ship spools of silk. As can be seen from the photographs, there are holes in the bottom of the box where the spools would have been fixed through.
The box measures approximately 56 cm (22 inches) wide, by 33 cm (13 inches) high, by 40 cm (15.75 inches) deep.
It is in sound condition.
A nice decorative trunk.
