8 day Longcase clock circa 1810
An 8 day painted dial Geo 111 longcase clock in a superb quality Mahogany case in the Lancaster style, with an arched trunk door, inlays and reeded columns to the hood and trunk. The hood finial often associated with Gillow's and their Journey men.
Thomas Dickinson, watch and clock maker. died 1814,
a native of Kendal, Cumbria.
He was a member of the 'Union Lodge' Kendal 1811-12
Condition. The movement is clean and running well. The Mahogany case, there is a small veneer damage above the trunk door and little damage under the left hand side of the hood, see photos.
