A domestic regulator made by J Paterson of Edinburgh Circa 1798-1825
The case is a stunning burr walnut veneer benefiting from a recent clean and polish. Access to the movement is via the drawbridge door a very unusual feature which is doweled ay the top of the case.
The dial is white with a minute chapter ring on the outer circumference black roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial just below the 12 o'clock mark
The movement is a dead beat escapement which benefits from from a recent service and is at present keeping good time over the 8 day running duration
