Doxa Goliath Pocket Watch, Black Smith
Antique silver goliath Doxa pocket watch.
The watch has a signed stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover signed with the Doxa name and details of trade medals won by the company.
The watch measures 70mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop so classed as goliath size (a standard pocket watch measures 50mm diameter). The watch is a silver coloured alloy and it is in good condition. The whole case is decorated with repoussé work and the back of the watch depicts a black smith's workshop.
The watch has a glass lens. The main face is in lovely condition, a little marking around the very edge and a small 2mm hole at the bottom.
The dial is signed Anti Magnétique, Doxa'. To the naked eye, the dial looks excellent. If viewed through a magnifying loupe, there are a couple of faint cracks just about visible. The hands are pin-set, the minute hand is a later replacement but sits well.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE (excluding Northern Ireland).
