Dr Wall Worcester Queens Pattern Lidded Jug c1770

We have for sale a very attractive and rather hard to find 1st period Worcester Queens pattern sparrow beak lidded milk jug c1770-1775.
This lovely sparrow beak lidded jug is decorated in the Queens pattern consisting of an Imari inspired pattern with vertical gilded panels alternately painted with chrysanthemums against a white ground and foliate gilded cobalt blue panels each containing a reserve decorated with a stylised chrysanthemum flower against a white ground. The lid is likewise decorated but with the addition of molded green leaf extending to a molded red chrysanthemum finial. The base of the dish carries the 1st period Worcester pseudo square blue fret mark.
The lidded jug is 5.5 inches high (14cm) high from base to finial tip, and is in a good to very good decorative condition, although there is a professional repair to the lid rim and finial along with a professional repair to the tip of the sparrow beak spout.
