Dutch Semicircular Marquetry Side Table


Circa 1860. A mid Victorian mahogany Dutch marquetry demi-lune side table. The D shaped top with the center smothered in classic Dutch marquetry including urn and vase of flowers. The string inlay in boxwood and ebony, with simple fore-edge, and shaped frieze with further marquetry. All resting on four square tapering legs, the top of the legs with ebony and boxwood banding, floral marquetry on the facings and line string inlay on the sides, finishing on an ebonized toe.
