Early 18th Century Walnut Inlaid Longcase Clock
An Early 18th Century figured walnut longcase clock made by Stephen Wilmhurst of Odiham (Hampshire) working 1695-1705. Brass mated centre dial with decorative spandrels to the corners. Single pointer to the 30 hour birdcage movement. Fruitwood and walnut panels to the front and sides. Bullseye glass to the centre of the beaded case door. Ebonised spiral twist supports to the moulded cornice top. Side view windows and fretwork to the top. Standing on ebonised bun feet. Superb colour, patina and condition. Slim proportions measuring 18"wide x 8"deep x 78"high. Full working order, strikes on a bell to the hour.
