An early 19th cent. coloured aquatint by R G Reeve after J F Herring of racehorse Frederick winner of the Derby Stakes at Epsom 1829
London published Sept.14th 1829 by S & J Fuller at their Sporting Gallery 34 Rathbone place.
12.5"x 17.5" as seen.
Framed size 19.5" x 23"
Not examined out of the frame.
Frederick was the property of William Gratwicke of Ham Manor Angmering Sussex and trained by John Forth who decided at ride the horse himself in the 1829 Derby at the age of sixty.Against the odds (40-1) it won. You may return a purchase within 14 days for a refund if you are not happy with it,but you will have to pay the full cost of return postage/carriage.The item must be returned undamaged.
