A beautiful, naively constructed, early 19th-century lyre hall or side table of petite proportions and probably European (German/Austrian). This enchanting little table is constructed from pine, painted in antique green and gilt pinstripe lines around the edges. It's decorated with ornate bronze trimming with gorgeous verdigris on display in places. The pine table top has an extraordinary rich patina with honest marks, cracks, scuffs, scratches and repairs over its long working life. This just adds to this little table's mesmerising charm. This side table has a rather shallow depth thus would fit even smaller/narrower spaces.
