Early 20th C. Silver Plate Drinks Tray, c.1900-30

This is a good quality early 20th century Silver Plate Drinks Tray or Salver. The round tray sits on three bracket feet. The flat surface has an intricate chased design of scrolling foliage and cross hatching whilst the rim is elaborately decorated with vines and grapes. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.
The drinks tray was made in Birmingham by the firm Anstey & Wilson as part of their Yeoman Plate range and dates to around 1900 to 1930. The company was founded in the 1890s and specifically manufactured silver plate with Yeoman Plate being their principal trade mark. In more recent times the company became Yeoman of England Ltd, moved to Hertfordshire and became the silver plate supplier to many high end stores such as Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, Liberty, Asprey, Garrard and Historic Royal Palaces.
Condition is very good with no dings or dents, no significant plate loss, just a few coppery tints on the high points of the grapes and the superficial surface wear that has to be expected with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The drinks tray is of a good size, measuring 31.3cm / 12.3ins in diameter and standing 2.5cm / 0.98ins high. It weighs in at 921g / 32.5oz.
Shipping in the UK is £6.50 by Evri (Hermes) Courier.
