Early 20th C. Silver Plate Pickle Fork, J.H Potter

This is a good quality early 20th Century Silver Plate Pickle Fork. The fork is in the Celtic Point shape with a bead and shell pattern on the upper part of the stem. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.
The pickle fork was made in Sheffield by John Henry Potter and dates to between around 1900 and 1920. John Henry Potter established his business at the Rockingham Works in Sheffield in 1885 becoming J.H. Potter & Sons in 1925. The firm primarily made high quality silver and electroplated tableware and flatware but also produced a range of trophy cups. They remained in business into the mid-1930s.
Condition is very good, with no significant plate loss and just the superficial surface wear that you would expect after over 100 years of use. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The pickle fork is 18.5cm / 7.3ins long and weighs 24.3g / 0.86oz.
The underside of the stem is stamped A1 for the best quality silver plate, the letter S for Sheffield and the POTTER in a broad shield makers' mark for John Henry Potter.
Shipping in the UK is £4.50 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For.
