Early 20th Century Ruby & Diamond 18ct Gold Ring
Ruby and diamond 18ct gold ring. Three graduated old-cut rubies spaced by two small old-cut diamonds in a navette-shaped mount. The central ruby is approx 3.5mm diameter. The overall depth of the setting - front to back is 6mm and the distance between the extreme edges of the outer rubies 13mm. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1918 - Ring size O.
This charming and good-looking ring is typical of the period. It is hallmarked for the end of WWI - imagine the returning soldier and his sweetheart - together again at last and getting engaged with this ring.
I trade in small silver, jewellery and objets d'art. I sell primarily at antiques fairs and in cabinets in Christique Antique Centre in Dorking. I try to find unusual and interesting stock and like to keep turning it over, so I can buy more. Postage and packing are free within the UK - unless explicitly stated otherwise.
