Early c19th French Empire sideboard with slate top
Unusual early c19th French Empire period solid oak sideboard with a slate top.
Lovely simple style with the panelled doors and sides, flanked with the side columns and finished with brass collars top and bottom.
The whole sideboard is made in solid oak and is a lovely pale to mid tone. It is also quite shallow in depth, so it will not overpower a smaller size room or hall perhaps. Internally, there is a single full width fitted shelf and the base surface, so it gives you lots of useful storage space.
The slate top lifts off for transport, or if you wanted to change the top, this is very easy to replace.
Measuring:
33 7/8” or 86cm high
65 1/2” or 166.5cm wide
18 3/4” or 48cm deep
Internally:
15” or 38cm high on bottom shelf
11 1/2” or 29cm high top shelf plus further 2 3/4” or 7cm
Delivery to most England, Wales and Scotland addresses at £55 +vat, but please send me your postcode if you are a bit remote or coastal as it could be more...or you are very welcome to collect from me in Uppingham, Rutland Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
