Charming little primitive of country life - painted in oils on a mahogany panel in its original frame of the same material. The use of mahogany leads us to conclude that this picture was likely executed by someone who had a ready supply of this scarce imported material: whilst a readily available native timber would have been perfectly adequate. Perhaps someone involved in the furniture trade or a family member? Who knows as its authorship is unknown.
Measures approximately 10 by 8 inches including its frame. Price includes insured postage to any UK address.
