This is a fine mid 18th century circular tilt top occasional table on a pedestal and tripod base made from the finest, attractively-figured mahogany which has a acquired a rich colour and lustrous patina. The top is made from a single slice of mahogany which retains its original waxed surface with old ink stains and marks. A brass catch allows it to be tilted for easy storage. The turned column and out-stretched legs and pad feet are nicely shaped and are typical of an early example circa 1750.

Dimensions: 28 in height 32 in diameter

Condition: The table is in fine original condition. The top retains its original surface with various marks and ink stains. There is some ancient woodworm in the block on which the top swivels. The wooden plugs above the screws on the right side cross stretcher on the underside of the top are missing.
