Early Victorian Mahogany Linen Press c1840
Antique Early Victorian Mahogany Linen Press and dating from around 1840. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top above a cross banded frieze and with two arched panelled doors and internally with four sliding removable mahogany tray shelves. To the base there are two short drawers over two long graduating drawers all of which are mahogany lined with original turned mahogany knob handles and with moulded edges to the drawer fronts. It stands on a deep plinth base on original castors.
Measures 82.5" high x 22.5" deep x (internal depth 18.5") x 56" wide
In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
