A fine oil on canvas head and shoulders portrait of a young lady. The work is typical of the romantic period with it's representation of stylised beauty. The painting is not signed but is of a good provincial quality being slightly naive in proportions. The painting has been professionally cleaned and is mounted in a slightly later in date gilt frame. The gilt frame has been regilded at some point but is in good condition and works well with the painting. The whole is in excellent condition and ready to hang. C.1850.

Where charges are made for delivery we try to be as cost effective as possible on your behalf. Deliveries can be organised all over the world so please do ask wherever you are.
